Lucille Young

by Laurie E

Lucille Young I had one of those moms every girl dreams of having. She was one of those people who could make you laugh by acting silly or take away your pain by just sitting there holding your hand and listening. She often worked numerous jobs to support my sisters and I and yet would stay up until 1 am baking dozens of cookies for a classroom party. When she discovered she had breast cancer she never complained but handled it all with such grace and dignity. She was my hero.
